What Dental Services Are Covered by HMO?
A lot of patients have been asking what dental services are covered by HMO, so here’s a quick guide.

Is Teeth Cleaning Covered?
It depends on your case. Regular or basic cleaning is usually covered, but deep scaling is not included in HMO coverage. The dentist will assess your oral condition to determine if the procedure is covered by your dental benefits.
Is Tooth Filling (Pasta) Covered?
It depends on the size and condition of the tooth decay. The dentist will examine your tooth first and let you know whether the filling procedure is covered by your HMO card.
Is Tooth Extraction Covered?
Coverage depends on the condition of the tooth to be removed. Simple extractions are generally covered, especially if the tooth is already loose or not deeply attached to the bone. However, complicated extractions — such as those requiring drilling or involving teeth attached to the bone — are not covered. The dentist will first examine your tooth and explain whether it’s eligible under your HMO plan.

For COCOLIFE, INTELLICARE and, AVEGA cardholders.
CocoLife – We only accept healthcards under Cocolife Dental Provider. Please check your physical card and ensure the dental section indicates Cocolife Dental.
Intellicare – We accommodate Intellicare-to-Intellicare Dental Provider healthcards only. Verification of four healthcard is required prior to your appointment.
Avega – Similar to Intellicare, we accept Avega-to-Avega Dental Provider cards, subject to verification.
